    Contract Renewal

    Hey all,

I am currently on a 3 month contract that I know is going to be extended. My contract ends Jun 8th and from the 9th-16th me and the missus want to go on holiday (Vegas Baby...). So ill just say, "I will extend, but taking a week off first". Has anyone else done this??

No, but it's pretty common. I will be next time, and as my contract ends on the end of may bank holiday, I'll get a week off for the price of 4 days.
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

I've never had a contract extended....think they are trying to tell me something. Ok, well the first one I completed all the work and the project was finished and this one they decided that there wanst owt for me to do but....

You won't be 'taking a week off' you will 'have other commitments' - shoud be fine though...

even using the term 'taking time off' makes you sound like a disguised employee...
