I think the solution is to abolish all social housing ...What we have here are the dregs of the immigrants and the dregs of the indigenous pop. fighting over crap flats in high-rise estates.
    Hard Brexit now!

'Margaret Hodge, the Industry Minister, has sparked controversy by calling for British families to be given priority over new immigrants when social housing is allocated. ',

that's outrageous, what a terrible selfish thing to suggest, how dare she suggest British families be given priority over immigrants for social housing !

      Milan.

I've got to the point where i try to avoid reading things in the paper on this subject, it has the potential to wind me up enough to turn me into a serial killer.

Sounds reasonable - any asylum seeker should be grateful they are not being blown to pieces here and not tortured etc: asking for preferential treatment in getting new house is way out of line.

I absolutely agree with her. If economic migrants are in work and benefiting the country, fine, if you're genuinely seeking asylum because of the risk of death or violence inyou're own country, fine, but the rest who just come here thinking the UK is a free meal ticket should feck off. We're and island nation, we can only absorb so many people, it's down to simply the supply of social and infrastructure resources that support the population.

Right, let's see how many EMUs rush up to call me a racist

'Ang on a minute I make a packet out of providing luxury accommodation to 'asylum seekers'. That them 'Afghans' couldn't speak a word of Pashtun if they tried, but speak Turkish fluently is the fault of the immigration service.
Insanity: repeating the same actions, but expecting different results.

Well here we have the BNP and Labour saying the same eminently sensible thing. Wouldn't vote for either of them, though.

The kiss of death for her career would be if the BNP publicly agreed with her sentiments and named her specifically.

The BNP should give her one of their badges "don't unpack you're going back".
