    Facebook sackings

Just sent out by my client's HR director. Obviously I'm not on the employees ditribution list so had this sent to me 2nd hand :

To all employees and workers at xxxxxxx xxxxxx Ltd

We have discovered that some employees have been posting comments on facebook.com about co-workers that are offensive, derogatory and potentially libelous.

This will not be tolerated by the company and any person found associated with this kind of thing will face severe disciplinary action.

Further, use of facebook.com has become so heavy that business use of our internet connections has been affected.

We have a pretty liberal approach to accessing the internet compared to many companies but incidents like this obviously will result in our reviewing this approach.

Because of the impact on the business, access to facebook.com has had to be blocked. If we find similar things happening on other 'social networking' sites we will have to ban access to those too.
I saw the comments yesterday and couldn't believe that current employees were posting them under their own names. We're all waiting for the naughty boys and girls to be escorted off the premises in the next few minutes. Muppets!

            Interweb thingy site:

"Wolters Kluwer is The Professional's First Choice for information, tools, and solutions that help professionals make their most critical decisions effectively and improve their productivity."

Shame it's own employees were to busy on facebook to worry about their own productivity! Sounds like a really unhappy place to work.

Yeah, there should be a law against it.
