Sure there are some oustanding people who happen to have been born in the British Isles - loosely speaking, if you include Scotland Wales and Ireland.
Brits clearly know very little about Isaac Newton and David Hume, nor John Stewart Mill, nor Bertrand Russell, nor anyone much beyond Freddie Mercury and off-the-planet Blake.
What do they know about Rene Descartes, Emmanual Kant, Heidegger, Schopenhauer, Plato, Socrates and so many other contributors to something more of substance.
I never made it even small time into philosophy, but at least I have a go.
