IBM competitor
Like DP, I can't see the real or perceived benefits of the EDS acquisition, other than wanting to rival IBM in terms of hardware and software. Maybe they are looking for a share of Gov't contracts, as the private sector is 'drying up'. Don't forget they've recently bought Compaq (hardware), Mercury Interactive (software) and a string of other smaller outfits. I know here in the UK they have had a series of disasters, nevertheless they seem to still be able to hold on to some juicy contracts (MoD, DSS, NHS)Comment
