    Typical London Microsoft development rates..

    Typical London Microsoft development rates..

I'm just wondering withing London recently have you had any exeprience of developing in C#/ VC++/VB/SQL in a London based contract ?

Ignoring Jobserve posted rates for the moment what was the rate you were on and what were you doing in London in your work ?

I know that City banking / investment jobs (non quant developer) tend to pay (roughly) up to 500 quid per day but these tend to be utterly hellish with expectations which go far above and beyond the call of duty ... (stressful meetings/ stressful clients/ ridiculously early hours and the expectation of working late hours/psychotic/snide people). I'm just wondering for any non Finance / City jobs which you have had any experience of for contracts in , say. Public Sector within London ....what were rates and conditions like in these places ?

"know that City banking / investment jobs (non quant developer) tend to pay (roughly) up to 500 quid per day "

Do you mean at least 500/day?
