A lot of Northerners have 'chips' on their shoulders with regard to Maggie Thatcher and the miners, outwardly appear very friendly, but inwardly are quite bigoted people in my experience.Comment

There is no divide.
In a nutshell southerners have an issue with northerners... where as northerners don't really care. It's just a means for southerners justifying the injustices faced in their part of the world (ridiculous house prices, higher cost of living, road congestion, to name a few) so they like to constantly convince themselves that it's horrible up north and their situation must obviously be better.The cycle of life: born > learn > work > learn > dead.Comment
