Claiming reduced price portion of receipt

If one gets a reduction on a valid business expense because one has previously used services or made a purchase in a private capacity can one claim the full price against tax? Basically one is contributing what is a privately owned benefit to the company. Cheers for any ideas.

PS Sorry about all the "ones" but one is rather posh after all.

I don't think so. Would you stay with a friend in London overnight, incurring the cost of a bottle of red wine while claiming expenses of a hotel? You have brought a personal benefit to bear to the benefit of the company.

One of the accountants would know for sure
