Travelling for Interview - Business Expense?

I run my limited company. Can I book the travel expenses for interview as business expenses and charge it to my company?

It's a business meeting. Of course you can.
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

      Thanks VectraMan for the reply.
Good news for me, as I have spent >£300 for the flights, now I can book this to my company.

In future you might be better paying from the company account. Makes the accounts tidier.

Why do people think claiming travel expenses to an interview is NOT a legitimate claim!?

Anything which is wholly and exclusively in connection with the business is claimable.

I always claim mileage for interviews and if that required a stay away due to the timing and location of the interview, I'd claim that too.
I couldn't give two fornicators! Yes, really!

Because they think it's a job interview like a permie would have.

I don't claim it. It's an expense I can afford to write off.
If your company is the best place to work in, for a mere £500 p/d, you can advertise here.

If not successful in the business meeting (interview), then this expense is not paid from any contract, rather from the earnings of previous contracts.

I was assuming (wrongly) that all expenses should be linked to a contract.

Parasol don't think it is legitimate - I don't know about other umbrella companies.

Without a signed contract you cannot claim expenses with an Umbrella outwith the contract dates. Makes total sense.

The OP was talking about running a Ltd so the two scenarios are not similar
