Anyone know a way of downloading stuff from Youtube?

and I do mean youtube and not any other "specialist" sites that have a similar format.

    Cheers all

There's a few websites offering this service, where you provide the YouTube link and it converts it into a downloadable file.

Not done it myself for a long time, but KeepVid rings a bell. Stick "download youtube" into google to find that and any alternatives.
Feist - 1234. One camera, one take, no editing. Superb. How they did it

Just install the latest version of RealPlayer. Then you get a "Download this Video" link above every video you view online...

Just look in your IE cache. The .flv file will be in there.
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

I thought they'd be using some sort of 'no cache' option so it doesn't retain the stream when the browser's closed?

Does this also work with other streams, such as LastFM?

While you're on youtube, have a look at this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ONUCPKdGcrk . It's Pavarotti singing Nessun Dorma, not only the most expressive rendering of it that I have heard, but the finest tenor singing that I have heard anywhere. Look at the expression on his face after he has finished: he knows what he has just done.

Just browse using Firefox and install the add-in: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3006 - works a treat.
