A colleague of mine who is working through his own Ltd company came to the UK a few years ago to work. He is from the Netherlands.
He has some held back dividends in his company bank account which he can take when he likes or as a ESC C16 gain so he pays less tax.
I have heard that, if he leaves the UK, he can pay the money as a dividend in the following tax year after he has left meaning he wont be liable to UK income tax on this.
Has anyone heard anything about doing this? He will be speaking to a specialise tax expert if this is true as he has a fair bit of money to be extracted.
