    Words fail me...

    The future governemnt?

On New Year's Day, after the party, Mr Lewis sent a message to another Conservative Future member which said: "There was a brief moment when I thought I might have gone too far with elements of the costume but it was OK - someone else was Baby P."
    It's just a laugh isn't it.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

    Yes, just a laugh.

It was a bad taste party. What did you expect? Everyone to turn up as Mahatma Ghandi?

          erm...no...

That’s in a completely different league and you know it, Jonathan Ross is paid to be funny and even though what he did may have been misjudged it was quite pathetic that 10's of thousands of people complained when they didn't even hear the broadcast.

I blame X factor type programs for this mass stupidity, people think they should be able to vote on anything they like/dont like thats media related these days.

Yes, because it was on national radio and far worse than a private 'bad taste' fancy dress party, and Ross should have resigned. On top of that, if somebody can run the economy properly I don't give a toss about what they get up to in private as long as it does not hurt anybody else. Remember also that this guy has resigned.

                Hmm.

If he'd dressed up as "Maddie" and carried a teddy bear, and worn a t-shirt saying "Here I am", that might be considered poor taste.

But going as her mother ? Why is that poor taste ?

Since when was poor taste illegal ?

The fact that he is a politican is nothing to do with it.
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

What makes you think he went as Kate McCann?

He went as Madeleine McCann, with a teddy bear and a vial of fake blood.

Ah, my bad, I only skimmed the news story.

                    He went as Maddie ?

Oh dear, then he's got what he deserves.

                    Thx for setting me straight.
