    Contracts / Clients / Checking

    Hi all

When you guys get a contract, and the agency sends over the paper copy, do you then send it off to be checked ? And if so, do you ever go back to the agent, telling them to re-word bits ?

IVe never done this, and am starting to think I should, get it check atleast. Has anyone ever lost a contract, due to them wanting the T+C's, to make it more IR35 proof, adjusted ?

Get an electric copy and send it off. You can usually get this done for around £40 or free if you are a PCG member.

If you look at the accountancy firm SJD's web site they have some draft contract on there that are IR35 friendly.

Also you can get it done here

And no it happens all the time

So, do these companies hight light weak points, and suggest alterations ?

If you recommend these changes to the agent, do they implement them without question ?

Could this effect whether you still get this contract ?

What are users experiences on this matter ?

I forward email copies of my contracts to Bauer & Cottrell. They do all the contract negotiations with the agency on my behalf.

Not true but they do have links to decent companies that will review it (for a fee of course)

I refused to start a contract, on advice from a contracts lawyer.

I use Qdos every time a contract comes up. Fast turnaround and they'll deal with changes too for no extra cost.

Some of us provide a full review service, it will not be hard for you to find a company to review your contract.
