    Part of the advice is to take an intern position when available. I'm in two minds on this - surely this is trying to circumvent the minimum wage legislation? Having said that, it's possibly better than laying out loads of dosh on an expensive course, and you can put it on your cv as experience.

      I couldn't get a grant to go to university because I earned too much, so had to pay my own way.
