Why do I suspect them?
Well, since I've been on this project I was generally impressed with the quality of the software coming my way for system tests. The software was being made by highly experienced developers in Holland and you could see that. Testing was a challenge. Trouble is, the last two releases have been rather less than brilliant. The last release showed a marked increase in bugs, including bugs that had been introduced to previously tested and accepted functionality, while that functionality wasn´t even changed. Now I´ve just started on another release. The first critical finding came within 3 minutes of starting my testing and prevents me testing a big chunk of functionality. The second major bug has just been reported by McColleague, 6 minutes later. Also, the general look and feel and the performance has become less consistent. I know that Clientco have been pushing to reduce costs; are the suppliers perhaps doing a 'plenty cheapness in Bangalore' job?
