    7.8 on Richter scale.

        Brazil says 7.8 so it could be a different one, or just measured in a different place. A Tsunami warning has been issued which obviously could affect Sydney in OZ.

              7.8 is a big quake. I do hope this doesnt do too much damage.

                Checked it out and it's only green level alert. Means there's not much chance of anyone being hurt. The location is very remote. Possibly some tsunami risk for Fiji and Samoa though.
