Made the leap back but think it was a mistake - notice periods

If someone rashly jumped into a permie job due to the contract market being tough this year and was offered two contracts a couple of weeks into said permie job, and said permie job turned out to be nothing like expected is there anything to stop said person from just quitting the permie job without notice. No contract has been signed or recieved so I'm thinking no?

Speak with your boss and explain (not about the contract, but the fact that you think this role is no good for you), usually while you are on probation the notice period is taken with a pinch of salt.

If you are sure that the permie role is not for you then yes go for the contract, but do it honorably and try not to burn any bridges
