EO asked me to send you all a post card - so here it is.

How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

Take a walk down The gorge of Samaria it's an early start and you'll get blisters if you don't protect your feet, but it's worth it...

In the spring, when cruising round the Western Med, I couldn't see any point spending £10 for an hour's InterNet access.

I can see I was wrong. (I wonder if they would have given me a VAT receipt for the books...?)

Do we need a one-upmanship-post-from-holiday thread? (Although Scourer will for having posted multiple times from honeymoon!)

Definitely recommended. I did it in my student days. I took the bus to the top the afternoon before and camped overnight, which you probably can't do nowadays. Great scenery on both the way up and the way down.

Edit:- I've just read the link and I wanna go there again

In German, guinea pigs are called die Meerschweinchens. Literally - sea pigs.
