    William Hague

Off on his first foreign gig already. Good to see him finally established as the statesman that his 15 year old self suggested he would become when he gave that rabble rousing speech back in 79.

Especially pleased as it is all in spite of the juvenile "Tory Boy" slurs levelled at him by the sneering left wing media in the aftermath of the slimeball's election in 1997.

I always liked WH. He'll make a fine Statesman!

Just imagine the language barrier when he meets Mrs Clinton.

I met William Hague on his campaign two weeks before the election. I was very disappointed with his lack of knowledge. William Hague has the gift of the gab and that’s where it ends. He is a poor choice for Foreign secretary not least for his lack of knowledge but also because he is an activist for the “Friends of Israel” (the same organisation that Brown, Blair and Milliband are members). The Middle East is the hub of the current world problems and he can’t be resolved with Peace Envoys and Foreign Envoys who are committed to one side.

What is needed is a foreign minister who has a good knowledge of history, speaks foreign languages and who a natural diplomat.

He's made himself rather rich. Surely he doesn't need this job.

To be fair he'd had 14 pints.

In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson
