    UK Ltd, paying VAT on services in Germany

    I've searched around not finding what I'm looking for.

    Should my UK Ltd company pay VAT on services supplied here in Germany?

    For example my UK Ltd is renting the apartment for my use, VAT is been charged... But I'm wondering why.

    Have a read of BN77 which explains the reclaim of input VAT from cross border countries. The rules changed on 1st January 2010.
