Need a NSFW indicator for sound!

Imagine you're in a large open-plan office at Clientco, quiet as a library, and you click on a link that suddenly starts some music or conversation at full volume.

Just happened to me - I clicked on a link in the Student loan thread, and some mong started talking at full volume about the digits of PI!

Any chance of a special NSFW sound glyph being introduced and used?!

It isn't just porn that's NSFW!

For this very reason I always have my volume muted and only turn it on when I put in earphones.

Why would you need the sound up on your PC in the office?

I have mine muted (for the reason you describe).

If you need the sound for a soft phone or similar then your headset will mask the unwanted noise surely.

As the others have said - its either muted or headphones are plugged in.

So in other words, everyone except me is sensible. That makes it even worse.

We've already got one. It is NSFW.

A number of times I have seen a warning on CUK regarding sound, for example:

Send this to some of your colleagues when the directors are doing the rounds... Top 10 cutest kittens NSFW (sound)!
