    MSP Foundation

Waste of space or worth a punt on Prometric for a couple of hundred?

Got Prince2, and ITILv3 both at foundation level, ISTQ intermediate, as well as hands on experience with HP Service Manager (also administrator course for HP-QC). Currently working in a major programme, but mindful of keeping the CV topped up nicely.

Is MSP worth having, or laughed upon as wannabe glorified PSO support?

Haha - very quick thinking so late at night!

Karma counteracted this event though - annoying oik sat next to me on the spin class tonight, I was sweating like a good 'un, and a mere shake of my wet hairy head gave him a nice early shower.

"Foundation" level anything is worth roughly the same as 'Cycling Proficiency Test'. If you are a Permie then take it - a few days doss on the company dollar.

The foundation level is virtually 100% pass rate multi-choice and fairly basic, although the manual is useful. Like PRINCE2, if you have the time and money it is worth taking another 2 days to get the Practitioner (which still has a high pass rate). Negotiate hard on the prices though - whatever you decide!

It's not his money, he's a permy. He couldn't hack it as a contractor, people kept pissing on his shoes.

Would be self studying and taking the exam myself hence the cheapo £5 book from amazon and Prometric option. While not needed for my current job, as I know the basics enough for my role anyway work won't be interested in funding, but I should get the Prince2 Practitioner out of them which is good. Just want the CV primed for return to contracting as and when.
