    Lunch/drinks others?

    Hello,

My colleague mentioned that he is taking out my boss and his boss for lunch and then also for a whiskey night (where he’s paying). I am trying to think of ways that I can do something similar, any suggestions?

why don't you go with your colleague

join him in the venture and divide the costs by two

this will also show the bosses that the contractors are working as a team and not competing for affection

        Milan.

Is this an offer to buy the CUK congregation some drinks?

Treat them to an evening at the local lap-dancing bar.

            FFS, what do you expect?

why not invite your boss and his boss and his boss for lunch and then onwards to a champagne bar?

Why not polish their shoes and lick their arses?

In fact, why not got all the way and get a permie job there?

Jeez. One of the things I do NOT miss is entertaining the management in the hope of a not-too-bad annual review.

Your "competitor", I suspect you mean.
You are getting a bit of scepticism on here, because although client entertaining is something that proper consultancies do as a matter of course, it is quite an alien concept to tinpot bum-on-seaters.
You could offer to contribute to their next team shindig (though you've missed the boat on the Christmas party). Otherwise your best chance at one-upmanship could be to find something they'd personally appreciate.
