    Debenture - outstanding

Qoes anybody know what this means and is it normal? I was farting about on the net and looked at my comapny profile and noticed in a section called

Charges / mortgages against this Company

    MIDLAND BANK PLC
    DEBENTURE - OUTSTANDING on 30 Apr 1999

    What does that mean?
Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.

    I preferred version 1!

A debenture in this instance sounds like a directors guarantee that was given for an overdraft or a loan quite possibly long since expired and not removed

It looks like your company owed money to Midland Bank in the form of a loan, and they then registered the charge at Companies House. Has anything like that ever been in place?

There would have been a loan back then - it was the outstanding bit that concerned me!

The banks are very good at putting them in place not so good at removing them when they expire !
