    3D TV

    Which one would you buy?

The LG with the cheap glasses but decent picture or the Panasonic - the VT all singing all dancing jobby with the expensive active shutter glasses?

    hmmmmmmm

None, it looks like a technological dead end to me. Great for inducing headaches though. My missus swears by it.

Maybe, but with the majority of Directors going with it it may have legs yet !

After good amount of search I bought SONY KDL40NX713U40" LED BACKLIT 3D TV for £699 + 100 for accessories from Comet last month. Looks good so far especially 3D bits also since its a smart TV can access YouTube directly. Over all good one. You might get the same cheaper some where else but I had to buy from Comet...!!

Is that the Smart Sony one with Internet and browser? Was looking at that one but undecided yet.

I'd wait if I were you.

Manufacturers have agreed on a common standard for the glasses.

              http://technology.inc.com/2011/08/18...logy-standard/

Also it is possible that the technology will evolve to glasses-less screens the same way the nintendo 3D works.

The number of 3D movies available is pretty poor as well.

If you have a windows media center (as I do) you could consider using the nVidia 3D Vision Kit. It requires a 200Hz+ TV though.

Depends on your budget and living room dimensions, but the 65" Panasonic looked sweet in some shop I saw it once.

Edit : Nice find Robif, I'd be waiting then, til the standard is all signed off and well into production.

I'll wait till there's more 3D stuff worth watching. Jaws 3D doesn't quite cut it.

Is there any 3D porn yet? That industry always leads the way, so if they aren't bothering neither am I.
Feist - 1234. One camera, one take, no editing. Superb. How they did it

Non-glasses is the future, with fancy eye-tracking software.
