    A little light dinner

Clearing out the fridge: a quick late home-made meal of prosciutto wrapped asparagus fried in unsalted butter with lightly grilled cherry tomatoes with virgin olive oil and a scattering of herbs de Provence, shaved parmesan, shiitake mushrooms, fried brown bread flavoured with garlic and thyme and a shot glass of sauce aux Câpres to dip into to.

Dessert: home-made rum and date bon bons (already made).

    All made in 20 mins!

Very nice presentation on the food.

Veneer table and repro chair (sharp intake of breath)

You still got unsold stock of cheap tables and chairs? PM me if you got any sofas in stock...

TY. I believe it is all solid mahogany though MF. Weighs (and cost) and absolute tonne.

Not sure about the table, looks vaneer. The chair has got to much gloss on it. Maybe Indonesian mahogany, definitely a copy.

          Where did you buy it?

Got it about 10 years ago, ordered it from William Bartlett. Ex-wife's insistence, ofc!

Very pretty; unfortunately I'm certain it looks much better than it tastes. Bits of veg on a plate...

Where's the steak? You need more protein than that...
Don't ask Beaker. He's just another muppet.

                  The Strongbow Collection

I don't mean to be rude , but their furniture is f**king hideous and probably expensive.

I'd add a really good link to this thread normally, but in truth the two suppliers I used to use look to have gone bankrupt! So more fool me!

                    Cut glass wine glass. Tut.

                    Wine glasses should be plain.

Pretty, but doesn't look very filling!
