Sepp Blatter wants penalty shoot-out alternative

BBC Sport - Sepp Blatter wants penalty shoot-out alternative

Sepp Blatter's gone senile, we've had the silver and golden goal and that just resulted in 2 teams scared to leave their own half until the inevitable penalty shoot out, at least teams go for it in extra time when there's no sudden death during that time.

    What else can be tried??
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

You should have to remove players one by one every 5 minutes.

He's not senile, just a dodgy politician. He blocks other people's ideas to modernise the game, and then, when everyone has given up and forgotten about them, he suddenly announces them as his own idea.

I know he's actually Swiss, but notice he wasn't bothered about penalty competitions for more than two decades, while Germany were the experts and England and English teams were crap. But now, as soon as a German team comes unstuck...

Why don't they decide it based on who has personally bribed Sepp Blatter the most? After all, that's how they decide where to hold the World Cup in the first place.

All players to down a pint every 2 minutes during extra time.

oh no, the germans would still win

What about settling it with rifles and fixed bayonets? Germans tended to lose those.

                    Not that you'd notice.
