    Rant - Mobile phone contract

Just got an email from 3 saying they're putting up the price of the monthly contract in line with inflation? Can they do this (can't be bothered to read the T&Cs right now)?

Yes they can as its less than the RPI figure.

Orange did this successfully last year so all the networks are doing it this year.

          Now read the linked webpage:
Our terms and conditions allow us to raise prices in line with inflation so that we can cover our business costs. This means that you won't be able to leave your contract early as a result of this change.

+1... Technically that is a question not a rant.

Edit : You found the answer yourself so it isn't even a question now....

I've just had a call from Orange about upgrading my phone. Told them to fook off and stop pestering me as Im on OVP tarrif from years ago, paying 3 quid a month.

WTF do I want to change to a new contract costing 30 quid a month instead?
I couldn't give two fornicators! Yes, really!

Don't you have the same clause in your myco contracts?
