    Friday Poetry Corner.

    Fishermen
    by a rocky shore,
    winds blowing wildly,
    in a boat unmoored--
    such is our condition.
Insanity: repeating the same actions, but expecting different results.

    A pie

    A Pie

    " A Pie.
Who would not die for a pie?
    I lie in bed
    and think of pie
    Who would not die
    for pie?

    But if I had pie
    would I die?
    I choose to lie
    in bed
    Thinking about pie.
So much that i would die!
But if I die than I couldn't eat pie,
    And I would
    Lie in bed
    And think of pie
I would try to get pie,
    But bcause I died,
    I cannot have pie,
No matter how hard I try.
    I can only lie
    and think of pie...

    ...
    ...Yumm
    Pie...

    Where is the pie?

    ...I ate it... "

    Threaded
I've seen much of the rest of the world. It is brutal and cruel and dark, Rome is the light.

      CHANGE
      An addiction to learning
      Developed daily by imitation
      Opens the door to empathy
      And the capacity to love.

      The power of consciousness
      Allowing the option of self-renewal
Extension of the senses in turn
      Sharpens the mind.

      The goal of positive action
      Coupled to implementation
      Creates positive self-expression
And to the inevitable social evolution.

I think you should be declared the boards Poet Laureate for that one.

You've come right out the other side of the forest of irony and ended up in the desert of wrong.

          We're Late

Clocks cannot tell our time of day
          For what event to pray

Because we have no time, because
          We have no time until

We know what time we fill,
Why time is other than time was.

          Nor can our question satisfy
The answer in the statue's eye:

Only the living ask whose brow
          May wear the Roman laurel now;

          The dead say only how.

What happens to the living when we die?
Death is not understood by Death

          Nor You

          Nor I.

              Was that an
              attempt at
              postmodern
              poetry?

I forged it, it's not really mine.

Of course, it's Threaded the original author, who else?

                  A Silly Poem

                  Said Hamlet to Ophelia,
I'll draw a sketch of thee,
What kind of pencil shall I use?
                  2B or not 2B?
