I thought, just for once, I'd jump on the conventional band-wagon of bringing in cakes on my last day.

I've hated the role, but I do quite like the guys I work with.

Should I go down the expensive donut route or stick to the cheap-end of the cake market?

Imaginary ones. Those are the sort of cakes I’d bring in. I’m a contractor not a permie

Expensive - you never know you might want to go back.

Unless you were sacked - then take in ex-lax chocolate.

Personally I always get Mrs BP to bake - they are the best ever!

Expensive, but not doughnuts. Get some proper eclairs and turnovers in.

Go expensive, but not overly so.

It's always better to leave a good last day memory

I think most people are missing the point here, if I am bring goodies in I am gonna want to eat them myself so why bother with anything other than what you will enjoy yourself!

When I was in DE there was a tradition of buying cakes on one's birthday, my colleague and fellow CUKker treated us to a number of freshly baked Cornish pasties from the English shop. Very popular they were too.
