    Short term contracts

    Hi,

I am brand new to contracting and have just secured a short 4 day contract, how would you show this on your CV? its a fairly high profile assignment with a big company.

    Thanks

Do you require help with spelling?

not really, do you require help writing humorous or witty replies?

Put it down as a 3 monther then say they terminated after 4 days?

Put it as a bullet point in the achievements section.

How can a "High Profile" assignment possibly last 4 days?

I wouldn't bother putting it on my CV. Would likely cause more trouble than it's worth any recruiter is just going to think you got canned for being tulip.

I mean who's going to hire someone for 4 days? Surely you'd round it up to a week!

I've had a couple of these - specific set of deliverables achieved on time, within budget blah, blah. I'd probably just put the company name, May 2013 <did stuff>

PS. Good luck (you might get extended)

It depends on what it is you are doing.

Do you want to do more of it?
Is it in an industry you don't already have?

Personally I wouldn't put it on the cv

Thanks for the helpful replies guys, It is a bit weird only being for 4 days. There are some very specific deliverables and its something I've done a lot of in my perm roles and would love to do more of in contracting, just don't see it coming up very often.

Getting an extension on this would be great, the day rate is fantastic.

                    Thanks again
