    Coming your way

    Comet ISON

As ISON continues its journey towards the centre of our solar system, many hope they’ll be dazzled in the next couple of months by the so called “Comet of the Century”. However, as comets are typically difficult to predict, only time will tell if this visitor from the Oort Cloud will live up to its unofficial title...

    Could be a good one.

Meanwhile, back at the planet: Spaceflight Now — Breaking News — Re-entry of Europe's GOCE satellite is imminent
European officials said Sunday the 2,200-pound fuel-depleted GOCE satellite was expected to re-enter the atmosphere Sunday evening between 2250 GMT and 0050 GMT (5:50-7:50 p.m. EST), putting the most probable re-entry zones over the Atlantic or Pacific Oceans, or over Earth's polar regions.

Be a bit of a bummer if it comes down in The Philippines

A bright star* in the sky for Christmas, some may see that as an omen

Yes I know it’s not an actual star

Some think it will trigger a massive solar flare that will send us back to the dark ages.
