Dunno, but I don't think it's really such a bad place. People have a sense of humour, which perhaps explains why they keep voting labour.

Fair point. It is however the public sector at its worst. I like the idea of breaking the council up and making those that do run it accountable to the people it serves. if it is a small unit the lines of responsibility are much easier to trace.

The council just blame the government which the electorate believe as the vast majority have no clue as to how local authority works.

I have came to the conclusion that councils should be run by corporations on fixed term contracts who are duty bound to allow the electorate the choice on what they have to deliver.

Got one step further and privatise government, let a corporation run the country and we all get shares.
