Jesus wept - lefty politicians really don't get it do they?

Lefty politicians don't anyway. This idiot is destroying the French economy. Even more successful Frenchmen will be fleeing to London, our gain, their loss.

The "emerging market" is not doing too well either at the moment and guess which nation is at by far the greatest risk of recession/crisis? Oh yes, it's leftist Venezuela!

98% much more recently in the mid 70s. Which is why all the rockstars went to France, ironically.

About time UKIP campaigned to send all the French home. That would be popular with the voters.

              Blimey.

Is France in a state of war then?

              When's the surrender expected?

France has long been undergoing a brain and money drain, so this is just keeping in with tradition. It'd be interesting to know what the effective rate is for someone who plans their taxes efficiently, e.g. in the US in the 50s when it had similarly high rates, all the way up to 91%, before deductions etc. were accounted for, which reduced this considerably.

Here is what UK had in 1971 - "In 1971 the top rate of income tax on earned income was cut to 75%. A surcharge of 15% kept the top rate on investment income at 90%."

Would you blame this on cold war?
