    Grey offices

Why are nearly all offices grey inside? Some are even grey on the outside! So many companies talk about wanting people to be creative, innovative, 'inspired', and so on, and then they ask people to work inside a grey box with grey walls, grey cupboards, grey hardware, grey ceilings, grey telephones, grey managermen, grey suits, grey everything.

    Shouldn't they be colourful instead?

You're making the near fatal mistake of thinking companies actually mean that tulip. I worked for a place that had stolen "Just Do It" as an internal motto/tagline thing - except the common consensus was that they really meant "Just do it, but for ****s sake don't get caught"

Good start to paint a wall orange, but then giving it a childish name like 'easy wall' sounds like management guff.

The childishness came from the contractors

You obviously weren't creative enough to call the orange wall 'the orange wall'.
