Dave says "Re-shoring" key to West's economic recovery
How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think -

The Telegraph has an article about this. It begins with bold statements about the economic benefits of re-shoring, then pours a decent bit of cold water over any promise of mass re-shoring, then.... towards the bottom of the article there's a rather odd bit about energy and then 'fracking' and how the two somehow go hand in hand. Very weird!

The bad news is that we're going to compete on wage rates.Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.
No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.Comment

Dave C. is talking about the re-shoring of physical stuff. Not the re-shoring of IT development.
And I don't believe that bringing the making of stuff "home" is likely to create as many jobs as people imagine. The level of automation used will eliminate the requirement for a large workforce.Comment
