Britain’s economic growth is forecast to be better than previously expected, boosting hopes of a quick recovery from the very slow start to the year.

Economic sentiment in the UK has also bounced back, rising from 105.5 in April to 107.4 in May on the European Commission’s index, which counts 100 as the long-run average.

The UK is one of the better countries in terms of fighting unemployment - the rate has fallen to 4.2pc, its lowest level for more than 40 years.
Now go cry your eyes out. Carney and the other s lied to you. Britain is booming.

What are we doing this week - forecasts are brilliant, or are they the work of the devil?

          From your link:

"GDP should rise by 1.4pc this year and 1.3pc next year, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) believes"

          Really, you're celebrating a 1.4% growth rate?
Feck me even Greece is forecast to grow faster.
As for the 4.2% unemployment rate at least one of those employed is the Amazon driver who delivered us a 2-inch square parcel of post-it notes just before we left
          Hard Brexit now!

Still quoting lagging indicators on an event that hasn't happened yet.
