    Germany Plus

Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

If Germany and France want an EU army or for Turkey to join the EU or whatever, do you think WE could stop them by being in the EU?

Germany don't want Turkey in the EU, they're one of the many countries who have voted against them joining unlike the UK who were about the only country pushing for Turkey to join the EU. As for the army proposal, the UK are very much for it, in particular the corporate side of it. BAE in particular would like a slice of the mooted funds that would be used to develop weapons so that would be a plus for UK industry, wouldn't it?

You didn't really answer my question, which is, if Germany and France want X, and we want Y, do you think the EU as a whole, will get X, or Y?

With UK veto in EU they would not get what they want

Now that UK is leaving finally EU will move forward, all very good for EU but terrible for UK

Well it would come down to a vote wouldn't it? That's why there is an European Parliament with elected representatives to vote on it, simple really when you think about it. Maybe you could look at some of the records on when the UK wanted something and it was voted on and whether they got it or not...

Sorry - any clue as to what your remark has got to do with the discussion??
