but yes, I am being pedantic. But I'm just countering the tendency for the English to refer to the UK as England
If your "1/8 Irish" refers to Ireland (as apposed to NI) then you're 6/8 British and 1/8 Irish You seem to have lost an 1/8th of a nationality somewhere
Which nation does your Jewish 1/8th ancestry come from?
If you're only 1/8th Jewish then what religion is the other 7/8th? Catholic, CofE, Muslim, Jedi?I am what I drink, and I'm a bitter manComment

I have a good new national anthem. Not sure who released it originally, might have been the New York Dolls, but it was covered by Guns n Roses and I think quite appropriate

Great Britain, Britain, the UK and the British Isles, are all different entities.
Great Britain is the biggest island of the British Isles that include Ireland. Britain is strictly speaking England and Wales. The UK is England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland. However, Britain nowadays is synonymous with the UK.Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!Comment
