Even Italy which is quite possibly the worst country in the EU at political shenanigans is looking positively sensible compared to the UK
    No, whip has gone.

    Otherwise, I agree.

Time for a constitution that is better codified (as fun as this might be ).

      A Tories prerogative:

22:29 - Andrea Leadsom, the business secretary, has signalled that the Tory rebels will not have the whip removed immediately. In an interview with BBC, she said that she hoped that the MPs who voted against the government would “reconsider overnight” and decide to vote with the government to defeat the bill tomorrow. Asked if they would lose the whip immediately, she said they wouldn’t. They would get a second chance, she said.
About 10 minutes later, all 21 will lose the whip...
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

But strong credentials to help Business maximise the opportunities of a Clean WTO Brexit.

British tea, jam and biscuits will be at the heart of Britain's Brexit trade plans

Brexit: PM in new battle after Commons vote defeat - BBC News

The PM is to call for a general election if he is forced to request an extension to the 31 October deadline.

Labour has said the bill taking the no-deal option completely "off the table" needs to be passed before his party would support the call for a general election.

Under the Fixed Term Parliaments Act, a prime minister must have the backing of at least two-thirds of MPs before a general election can be called outside of the fixed five-year terms.

The combined opposition should pass the bill, vote down the FTP motion, hold a vote of no confidence, install a caretaker PM and then call a FTP motion to hold a GE.

It’s rare for anyone to say it, but that was a smart move by Corbyn, he outplayed Johnson.

Johnson’s response also showed his colours. He claimed that his policy of No Deal was actually part of his negotiations and now all his negotiations were ruined and it was the fault of Corbyn. He’s already trying to pass the blame for his lack of Brexit plan on to the opposition.
