    Default Procorre call

Procorre called me today for a chat.

The conversation lacking in any real direction or purpose, I couldn't initially decide whether they were offering a contract or selling me a service. Anyway, IR35 rose its head and it seemed as if they were suggesting some partnership alliance.

'Can I send you an email?' he asked.

An hour later, something arrived, the content of which is below.

    Questions

    1. Apologies if answered elsewhere, but if one is forced to go Umbrella / PAYE, why does a contractor still have to pay Employers NI?
    2. For those with Procorre experience, what is the ‘subscription’ to Procorre on the Outside model?
    3. For bonuses, are these not also to be taxed?

Needless to say, I asked the chap but he's gone silent already!

(btw, my name's not Tim either...)

    Default Procorre call

    Question 1

Who else in the chain would pay it?

Umbrella can’t pay £1000 employers NI if there cut is £30

    You pay it

    Thanks for that.

I realise I have tripped myself up here in my choice of words. Apologies.

Procorre were suggesting a partnership that, as indicated, would lead to a share in profit. Maybe I am in danger of tripping myself up again but, a partnership would be distinct from a brolly relationship?? And if so, does my first question still stand?

Many thanks cojak. Apologies for your frustration.

I had actually read the Procorre partnership thread, but my understanding of such, limited as it is, did not immediately shed light...

Right - let's be 100% clear here Procorre are a bunch of crooks only looking after themselves.

Given the choice between Procorre and being unemployed, unemployment will be more preferably long term once HMRC get involved.

Jesus wept.. You have 719 posts, mainly in the prof forums and you are having to ask questions like this?

These schemes really are only for the feckless and gullible aren't they.

A simple google search would have negated the need for this post.
