I tried to look for an answer, just a question - how much you guys would charge for the cyber security role in Zurich or Geneva? Should it be <1200 CHF? I am about to negoatiate the rate and would love some advice....

What's the role? (cyber security is pretty meaningless really) CISO would expect quite a bit more, a junior analyst would be less.
What are you worth? How good are you? What role do you normally do?
Given that you think that this question is worth asking, in the way you have asked, I'd say 1200CHF is generous. You're welcome.See You Next Tuesday -

CHF1200/week is swiss dole money for a higher earner.

In today's market, per day
800 is bog standard
1200 is approaching premium.
Through a mainstream agency, you're unlikely to get more than that. Outside that, maybe a little more. If you already knows the client and they like you, 2000 wouldn't be out of the question.
Try for 1500 by all means. But I know specialist security consultancies here that don't charge much more. Also pharma.
I do work in pharma. And in security.Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!Comment

For a patching engineer I think 1500 is wishful. But god loves a trier.
Have you thought about asking them for an offer based on your experience?
At least that way you know the bottom price so don’t need to embarrass yourself.See You Next TuesdayComment
