First Tesla Autopilot Death

I was wondering whether the guy they caught in the Beemer going down the motorway has put his name down for a Tesla

I hear Gillian Taylforth is still going ahead with her purchase

Sad unnecessary death.

As I said on the other thread, I am considering shifting loyalties towards Tesla but this news doesn't fill me with confidence.

Its still new technology. However it seems that its been safer than squidgyware for a while.

I'm certain lessons will actually be learnt.

WES - the article suggests Tesla recommend remaining in control (hands on the wheel) at all times.

What horrible mess as well. Sheared off the top of the car which continued on before crashing. Not nice at all.

Apparently the system could not separate the white bridge from the bright sky and so didn't detect the bridge. Couldn't happen here then.

I like the fact the autopilot didn't notice the collision, or that the roof had been ripped off. But then still managed to crash.
