    Love these "spontaneous" demonstrations appearing on the BBC.

      Phenomenal response by the police though.

      8 minutes from the first call to the police to the scum being shot dead.

      If it wasn't for their rapid, professional response we would be looking at a far worse toll.

      And, not for the first time, it makes me glad to live in a society where semi-automatic weapons are not easily obtainable.

        Fortunate to get such a fast response after the Tory cut backs to the police over the last 7 years.
        …Maybe we ain’t that young anymore

          There were off duty police officers who were out enjoying themselves in that part of London who tackled the perpetrators. One of those police officers is seriously injured.

            Problem: uk government friends with Saudi Arabia and let them fund mosques in the U.K. Preaching the hateful wahabi ideology which leads to terrorism on our streets
            Solution: stop being friends with Saudi and stop their funding to U.K. Mosques

            I know it sounds really complicated but just a thought

                Alternatively why don't we, the Americans, the Chinese, and the Russians all get together and invade Saudi Arabia and steal all of their oil? It's not as if they manufactured it - they just happened to be lucky enough to be living on top of it when it was discovered.

                Though of course this plan has one major flaw - the loss of life of the military personnel on both sides during the invasion.

                  a) their military equipment comes from the USA; I bet it comes with a kill switch controlled by Washington. Any war with the Saudis would be a quick win;

                  b) military action is unnecessary, SA started borrowing money last year, because the Ghawar field is half-empty and they did what any big spender does--start borrowing without thinking how they'll pay it back. You can expect SA to borrow more in the future, and that will make them listen to what their lenders have to say and not the other way round. It may take a while, but castles in the sand will be gone as soon as the Ghawar oil is too costly to produce.
                  You're awesome! Get yourself a t-shirt.

                    The only reason Saudi Arabia and other oil states are allowed to exist, is that it's better than the the superpowers directly fighting over that area.
