Dunno but amazed how many ancient groups are still going, like Fleetwood Mac (sort of) and The Zombies.

I'd support a Dire Straights come back, if only so they made head sweatbands fashionable again so I could wear one while out running without feeling a complete dork.Maybe tomorrow, I'll want to settle down. Until tomorrow, I'll just keep moving on.Comment

It was a real star studded experience.
Sting came on to do the intro to MFN, Phil Collins on drums and Eric Clapton guesting on guitar for a few numbers.
About as Rock n Roll as it gets.Comment

Love to have seen that
Only got to see them during the On Every Street tour... not a patch on the earlier stuff though.Last edited by Dark Black; 29 June 2017, 10:01.Do what thou wiltComment

So, who does that leave? Led Zeppelin?
If it's Dire Straits for the first time in my life I'll be up all night banging away at the keyboard trying to get tickets.
Just imagine the opening riff of Money For Nothing blasting out from the Pyramid Stage. It would be completely unsurpassable - the definitive festival moment. His heart is in the right place - shame we can't say the same about his brain...Comment

ELO in their flying saucer would have been pretty awesome too but I was a bit to young to catch them in those days.
They played the naff Sunday teatime has-beens slot at Glastonbury a few years ago & weren't that great.
Now, a reformed ELO with Violinski and Beb Bevan would be a different prospect altogether. Saturday night Pyramid Stage headliner calbre that would be.Comment

I reckon it could be Oasis but could also be:
- The Police
- NWA with Snoop replacing Eazy
- The Eagles
- R.E.M
- The SmithsComment
