Just want to point out that no-one has yet changed the EU immigration rules. I would put this down to a recovery in the rest of the EU.

Generally though inflation is still higher than wage increases so all it is doing is improving a drop in wages, that wouldn't have occurred if the pound hadn't fallen. So basically the economy is slowing but the drop in the income isn't as bad for those who are in the private sector.
Earnings are now only 1.8% higher than a year ago - the slowest rate of increase since late 2014 - which has contributed to a cut in real incomes because the rate of inflation has been higher.I'm alright JackComment
