Israel says it has struck almost all of Iran's military infrastructure inside Syria in its biggest assault since the start of the civil war there.

The strikes came after 20 rockets were fired at Israeli military positions in the occupied Golan Heights overnight.

Syria's military said the Israeli "aggression" had killed three people.

There was no immediate comment from Iran, whose deployment of troops to Syria to help President Bashar al-Assad has alarmed Israel.

Iran has repeatedly called for an end to the existence of the Jewish state.

Russia, Germany and France called on both countries to exercise restraint, but the US said Iran bore "full responsibility for the consequences of its reckless actions" and that Israel had a right to defend itself.

Now the US are openly discussing regime change in Iran who just happened to ditch the petrodollar recently. This Bolton guy is very bad news.

I'm really not sure how all this is supposed to play out given that Iran is allied with Russia who will defend them the way they have Syria - however Netanyahu was just in Moscow cosying up to Vlad while the latest Syrian attack was happening...

Also China are strongly aligned with Russia and Iran and have said they won't stop dealing with them despite US threats of sanctions. Apparently we love China and when Xi comes here he get's the red carpet, copies of 'China Daily' are handed out outside tube stations and we are outsourcing nuclear power plants to them.

France and Germany are flipping the bird to Trump over threats of sanctions after being given 6 months for their companies to stop dealing with Iran.

Surely they can just sort all this out on the golf course?
