Default Employer payday loans - revolutionising permidom

With everyone talking about going permi now, is this what they are getting excited about?
Maybe i am doing it wrong but... apart from mentioning that you "share company values" is the payday loan company policy something that you should enquire?

No one is talking about going permie. It's a last ditch solution for some.

And no, even if I did I would never consider anything like this. Highly skilled ex contractors should not be touching payday loans.

But now he's been sanctioned three times and maxed out his annual food bank allowance, PC may have no alternative.

Was in sapient (Indian it outsourcer) in London recently they have a vending machine linked to local food bank, (high tech photos of goods top it tastic) when low on suppliers it comes up on screen and people can buy good from Asda etc for direct delivery to local food bank

Just heard it’s been removed as Indians (95%+) stopped using after they visited the food bank and were abused for being Pakistani

Initially understood it as subsidised food vending machine in the work place. But later figured it out.
As for myself, i am not a big fan of charity, especially when there is a third party involved.

No - these are bad and do not help people who are in debt.

A responsible employer would use the various agencies etc who help people get out of debt and manage their money better.

However sadly a lot of employers would treat their staff like slaves if they could get away with it so the principle that they may put effort into helping employees is flawed.

An employer payday loan shows that they don't value you enough to pay you a decent wage.

In some countries it's rather normal for employers to offer and advance on the next month salary. But it's interest free and not done for profit, by a 3rd party provider.

It only goes to show that an employer is happy to threat his employees as a revenue stream. Definitely not a workplace benefit/perk in my books.
