Still wondering if I can sneak to Homebase for DIY stuff. Why are hardware stores still allowed to open if not?

For the same reason they have speed cameras on the motorway.

Still wondering if I can sneak to Homebase for DIY stuff. Why are hardware stores still allowed to open if not? DIY is an essential way to cope with isolation. If I go mad and run around shooting people I shall blame my mental state on a lack of latches for my cupboard door.

From the plethora of Homebase emails I'm receiving I think they may have shut up shop. You are better of going to one of the DIY places that have a trade counter as well as they will be open.

They're selling sod-all too. They and B&Q have decided for us to only sell 'essential' things where they decide 'essential' basically means things for tradespeople to carry on working.

El Gov say we should buy online, our biggest online DIY retailers then decide not to sell. So I have to pop to my local hardware store in person.
