    Half inched:

So the Scottish Chief Medical Officer resigns for taking a couple of unnecessary trips and the UK Prime Minister runs around infecting his girlfriend, his personal photographer, the Health Secretary, the UK Chief Medical Officer and who knows who else, the UK Health Secretary comes out of isolation with symptoms after 6 days instead of 14 and then publicly opens new wards at a field hospital and takes a tour breaking social distancing rules and they are good to carry on in their jobs?

What is going on with the world of Westminster?

                Nice:

MPs are allowed to claim an extra £10,000 in expenses to help them work from home during the coronavirus pandemic.

It comes on top of the existing £26,000 a year that MPs can each claim to cover their office costs.
                ...

New guidance published last month by the Indpendent Parliamentary Standards Authority, which polices the MPs’ expenses regime, said: “This is an uncertain and challenging time. Ipsa is committed to supporting MPs and their staff to carry on with their work as far as possible.”

And a letter to MPs from Richard Lloyd, the interim chair of Ipsa, said: “We have agreed a series of immediate measures that we hope will provide you with the resources and flexibility to concentrate on your parliamentary duties and support your staff.”

                ...
In addition to the extra £10,000, Ipsa has also relaxed the ruled on the evidence MPs must provide to back up their expenses claims.

There was a large delivery of masks due to clear Heathrow today. It got through 2 days early, so deliveries were being made yesterday. Most of these were going to privately managed hospitals

There was a care home manager on the radio earlier and she was explaining how they get through more than 300 face masks each day. They used the Government emergency procurement system for PPE as they were running out and 4 days later they were issued 160 masks for their staff that use over 300 face masks per day. PPE is in short supply and looks like it is going to stay that way...
